6th Edmonton International Chess Festival

GM Joel Benjamin wins the 6th Edmonton International

Just like in the previous years the festival took place in the Edmonton Chess Club.

This year's festival featured the top International section, the reserves and other exciting side events.

This year's International section was played with a 10 player Round-Robin format allowing for IM norm possibilities.  The tournament is scheduled between July 27-August 1st.  

The Reserves was played alongside the International between July 30-August 1st. A total of 24 players took part and the winner was NM Nic Haynes.  He scored 5.5/6.

Live games from the International section were available during the tournament.  PGNs are now online as well.
